Sierra Mobile Labs, Inc.
performed a job at a site in Dayton, Ohio. The site was a historical
gas station and currently was used as a parking lot. The clients were
excavating impacted soils and needed immediate turnaround of laboratory
results. We analyzed seventeen soil samples for benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), and methyl-tert-butyl ether (MTBE).
By using a mobile laboratory, the client saved money on labor costs and
soil disposal costs. The project was able to finish one day earlier
than expected because the client knew that the remaining soils were
below the state required cleanup goals for the site. At the completion
of the project, the client received a Level IV DQO data package suitable
for submittal to the overseeing state agency.
